This is me sitting in the car, trying to get dry and warm and charging my phone so I could keep up (sort of) with my teenage daughter. It took me about 20 minutes to clean all the mud off my feet once we got home on Saturday. Yuck. Oh the things we do for our children.
This is me putting a tie on my son this morning while lying down. We are having fun with camera apps on the iphone. Did I mention that was sort of the point of this post?
Instant camera! And no, I am not intentionally choking him.
See he is smiling now! At me!
I am in love with the Lightbox - that is the name of the app. If you have an iphone and you don't have it, get it. I swear it will come in handy and it is only 99 cents. The kids like it too. It is really fun to mess about with. You can make almost anything you take look better or more interesting. It is pretty addictive.
The best thing about the festival we went to was seeing Midtown Dickens. They are completely adorable. Here they are singing in the rain.
Camping in the rain sucked but everything is better with friends and my camera app.
Plus making rocker girl happy is priceless. Below is a picture before Lightbox. You can tell can't you?
Playing with the camera in the car while I dried out really made the time go by quickly but I do look as irritated as I felt at that moment. This is my eat shit and die look or maybe it is the I am not amused look. I'm not sure because you don't usually look at yourself when these moments happen in real life do you? Pretty convincing I think either way.
In my boredom, I even figured out how to make my house look like something on the set of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood - all fake like. I know, I know - how useful!
Speaking of favorite apps, there is one for Google where you can say a word or take a picture of something and it looks it up for you. I was showing this to my boss and realized that my funny, funny, funny husband said penis into the phone and there I am talking the whole thing up while looking at those search results! I did not realize I could still blush, but there you go. When you try to explain these things in the moment, it really seems unconvincing - everything slows down and well you just want to crawl into a hole. Boys have gotten me in trouble my whole life!
But there is never a dull moment and I guess I must like it that way. Could they look anymore alike?
I hope you had a nice Easter! We sure did!
