There is an artist, Michael Bauermeister, and his work immediately inspired me. My husband came home from a woodworking meeting with a postcard about an art show in Myrtle Beach and his work jumped right out at me.

You should definitely check out his website if you like this because this is just a sample of his work.

Women posing in chairs, Downton Abbey and other random stuff

If you were going to be all sexy and posy in a chair, what chair would you use? Just curious.

Keira Knightly? Really? Who knew? I don't think I would have known that was her and I think she should work this makeup more often.

Old school?

I am enjoying Season Two of Downton Abbey and it's soapiness.
It is weird looking at them. . .

All normal and modern though. Edith cleans up real nice.

But dang if Sybil isn't even more gorgeous - I mean for real, that should be illegal.

Even with black lipstick.

But what on earth is this?

Apparently a shoot for Marie Claire but Why?

Thank goodness for her though and all her fabulous lines

When I grow up I want to be just like her and say whatever I want to anyone. I think some of you might be thinking, "but doesn't she already do that?" scary huh?

Like this for example,

Or this,

Ha, ha, ha!

Woodwork Part One

My husband is getting into woodworking and it has exposed me to some very interesting and beautiful things.

Creston Guitars was started by Lea Creston and he is still pretty much a one man operation in Vermont. Sarah Ryan hand paints the ones I like best.

Pretty, pretty electric guitars. He specializes in found wood. Beautiful.

His website is here: crestonguitars.com
And this is a nice article: http://www.coolhunting.com/culture/creston-electri.php

This one below reminds me of the pottery of Molly Cantor.

This one was made from an old barnbeam.

As were these.

More pretty. . .

You know I love owls!

Eye catchers

I got these on sale and then my 10 year old basically stole them. She's almost 11 but still, she should not have the same shoe size as me.

Cool manicure posted by Zooey Deschanel on facebook. I want to get it with the child that stole my shoes.

Bought two new bathing suits from Anthropologie for several upcoming trips.

I should send one back but I live at the beach! Right?

This made me think of my mom who is a fanatic about hankies.
